Kosovo’s Parliament adopted on Thursday a draft resolution accusing Serbia of “genocide, a crime against humanity and war crimes committed by Serbia’s former regime,” N1 reported.
Other topics during the Thursday’s session include the “Formation of State Commission for Setting Up the Tribunal for genocide in Kosovo,” which will be on the agenda later on Thursday.
They also should agree on the date to commemorate “Serbia’s genocide.”
Earlier on Thursday, Milovan Drecun, ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) MP told Serbia's state TV (RTS) that the announced Kosovo parliament resolution accusing Serbia of genocide was an attempt to draw attention from the summons issued by the Special Prosecutor to KLA officers.
KLA, Kosovo Liberation Army, was a guerilla force that fought against Belgrade Army and police units during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo.
“They want to say that they are the victims and that someone else should be put on trial,“ the chairman of the parliamentary Committee for Kosovo said.
