Bosnia's Court has confirmed the indictment against Gavrilo Stevanovic, charged with joining a paramilitary formation in Ukraine, which fought the legitimate Ukrainian forces.
According to the indictment which was confirmed on April 5 this year, Stevanovic left the country on July 8, 2014, and headed from the Belgrade airport in Serbia to Moscow, Russia, from where he entered the Ukrainian territory.
Contrary to the Law on Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Stevanovic and other individuals from Bosnia and Serbia, allegedly joined the paramilitary formation “Jovan Sevic” which fought Ukraine's legitimate military forces, in Ukraine's Luhansk region.
According to the indictment, the accused was given a uniform and firearm, performed various military duties and was an active member of the unit until mid-September 2014.
