Matthew Palmer, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of the State, met head of Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity, within his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the entity Government said on Saturday.

The two officials discussed current political developments, economic and security topics with an emphasis on the migrant crisis, challenges and problems that are taken to overcome the issue of influx of migrants.

Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic presented the priorities of the Government's work concerning the economy, attracting the foreign investors and support to the real sector, with an aim to increase the number of jobs and the workers’ incomes.

It was emphasised during the meeting that the US-based companies are interested in investing in Republika Srpska, where NCR company operates with positive results.

Viskovic stressed that the entity Government is committed to cooperation with everyone on the basis of partnership relations and that all government services are at disposal to interested investors.

Republika Srpska is one of Bosnia's two semi-autonomous regions, mostly inhabited by the Serbs, one of three major ethnic groups, and it stretches over almost one half of the country's territory. On the other hand, the Federation (FBiH) entity is dominated by two other major ethnic groups, the Bosniaks and the Croats.

Both entities have their own governments and parliaments.
