Milorad Dodik, Bosnia's Presidency Chairman, wished US President Donald Trump and all US citizens a happy Independence Day, 4th of July, expressing hope for further development of relations between Bosnia and their country.
“I wish to extend my wish, as the Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency, for building up sincere relations with the US, respecting you and your policy of not interfering with internal affairs of other countries and supporting the patriotism doctrine in the whole world, by which you show your commitment and support to the free expression of will of all citizens,” Dodik said in his note to the US President.
“I am convinced that the US and Bosnia and Herzegovina will develop cooperation and relations that will contribute to the prosperity and creation of long-term stability on the territory of the Western Balkans,” he added.
The US Embassy in Bosnia organised the Independence Day reception on Tuesday, hosting international representatives and local officials at a solemn ceremony in the embassy building.
