Serbia still has open issues with its neugbours and is still searching for Serbs who “were killed and disappeared from the region,” Serbia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said on Saturday.
“It is difficult to accept the compromises which are politically necessary while offering forgiveness for personal tragedies. We all carry this burden together,” Dacic said in Ub, at the ceremonial distribution of 20 apartments to refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
The apartments were constructed as part of the Regional Housing Programme which is financed by donors, the biggest of whom is the European Union.
The Fund is controlled by the Council of Europe Development Bank and the programme is in Serbia controlled by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with local authorities and monitored by the UNHCR and OSCE.
