Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be visiting Sarajevo on Monday and Tuesday for the Summit of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The head of Communications Department at Erdogan’s office, Fahrettin Altun, confirmed the visit on Twitter.
He added that Turkey strongly supports the South-East European Cooperation Process.
“Steps in the development of cooperation in the Balkans, primarily in the economy, trade, transport, infrastructure and investments will be discussed” Altun said.
He added that Erdogan is expected to meet with members of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency and leaders of some of the countries participating in the summit.
Erdogan is also expected to meet with a delegation of the Turkish battalion which is part of the European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia.
