A vehicle carrying 33 migrants collided in North Macedonia, leaving the many including a few children injured, news agencies reported on Saturday.
The accident happened on Friday after a 24-year-old driver, the citizen of North Macedonia, jumped out the car in an attempt to escape the police, which stopped the van.
The van collided in a 14-metre deep abyss near the southern town of Demir Kapija.
Once they leave Turkey and Greece, migrants usually take the route through Macedonia, then Serbia and Bosnia in the hope they would eventually reach their final destinations in European Union.
Thousands of them are stuck in Serbia and Bosnia, as the European Union keep its borders closed for illegal migrants.
