Municipal authorities of Bosnian northwestern municipality of Drvar decided to name Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic an honorary citizen of Drvar,
The decision was endorsed by Drvar Municipal Council for, as they said, Vucic’s “exceptional contribution to the implementation of projects that are significant for the Drvar Municipality.”
Dusica Runic, the Head of Municipality, said that the Serbian President provided 300,000 Euro for infrastructural projects such as road construction, street lightning and for purchase of vehicles for local healthcare centre.
The recognition should be handed over on July 27 on the Municipality Day.
Drvar is among Bosnia’s least populated municipalities. It is situated in Bosnia’s Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) semi-autonomous region, but is mostly inhabited by ethnic Serbs.
