Last year, Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity recorded a trade deficit of some €230,000 with a three percent drop in exports compared to June 2018, the FBiH Statistics Agency said.
The total June exports reached some €330,000 which is some €12,000 or 3.5 percent less than May 2019 and just over €10,000 compared to June 2018.
At the same time, the FBiH imported approx. €550,000 worth of goods, which is some €90,000 less than in May 2019, but 0.8 percent more compared to June 2018.
In the period from January to June 2019, the FBiH exports increased on average by 3.3 percent each month, while imports increased by 3.7 percent.
The FBiH entity's participation in Bosnia's total exports stood at 67.2 percent in June 2019, and 70.6 percent in the country's imports, the entity Statistics Agency noted.
The export-import coverage was at 58.8 percent, which is 6.3 more than in May 2019 when this coverage reached 52.5 percent.
When it comes to the countries to which the FBiH entity exported the most, Germany was the top export destination with over €50,000 or 16.2 percent of the total exports, Italy came second with around €45,000 or 13.4 percent, and Croatia was third with around €35,000 or 11.4 percent.
The entity mostly imported from Croatia – some €70,000 or 12,7 percent worth of goods, Italy – around €60,000 or 12.1 percent and Germany with some €59,000 worth of goods, or 11.3 percent.
Imports from all other countries amounted to approximately €335,000 or 63.9 percent.
