The main board of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) called upon its rivals on Saturday to stop obstructing the formation of the country’s state and provincial governments and make the country work.

Among the 14 conclusions adopted at the meeting, the SDA said it “calls upon representatives of the SNSD to stop obstructing the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The party referred to the frequent absence of members of the main Serb party, the Association of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), at sessions which often prevents the Parliament from passing laws.

“The non-adoption of numerous laws and documents which Bosnia’s Council of Ministers forwarded to the parliamentary procedure is causing huge damage to Bosnia and Herzegovina, its citizens, economy and integration processes which were brought to a halt,” the party said.

It then asked the person who is supposed to take over the position of Prime Minister, officially called Chairman of the Council of Ministers, who is a member of the SNSD, to “finally propose a programme for his work in the current mandate, which would enable the forming of the new Council of Ministers.”

It called upon the main Croat party in the Country, the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ), to propose its candidate for President of the Bosniak-Croat semi-autonomous entity in the country, the Federation (FBiH).

“Every postponement in this is unnecessary and damaging, and the HDZ is responsible for the consequences,” the party said.
