Serbia will support the Bosnian western town of Drvar with a majority Serb population with one million Euros, the town’s mayor said on Saturday.
Drvar declared Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, honorary citizen earlier this month.
Mayor Dusica Runic said she was informed of the financial help by Serbia’s Presidency Secretary Nikola Selakovic, who announced that Vucic will soon visit the town.
Runic said that Vucic provided 300,000 Euro for infrastructural projects such as road construction, street lightning and for the purchase of vehicles for the local healthcare centre last year.
Selakovic said that Serbia will also help other municipalities across Bosnia which have a Serb majority population, as well as the entire Serb-dominated semi-autonomous entity of Republika Srpska.
