Outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that elections are the best solution for Kosovo and added that he is attending cabinet meetings and speaking to the media to prevent an institutional vacuum.
He rejected the possibility of a transitional government, saying that the voters have to decide who will represent them. Haradinaj said he sent letters to the president, parliament speaker and party leaders telling them that they have to let the voters choose the next parliament.
He rejected claims that his resignation was a political calculation. According to him, the first claim of that kind came from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic who he said “knew that Kosovo had grown stronger”.
