Bosnia is taking part in the World Clean-up Day through the “Let's Do It” project under the slogan “Be somebody, be an #ECOhero.”

With their enthusiasm and dedication, ECOheroes showed that they wanted to take matters into their own hands and united they cleaned the streets, parks, mountains, river banks and lakes across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Let's Do It” project coordinator Junuz Elkaz said that Bosnia has regularly organized the “Let's Do It – Let's Clean the Earth in a Day” event since 2012, but unfortunately there are still many irresponsible citizens in the country who are dumping waste improperly and there is a great need for cleaning of the environment.

“I wholeheartedly thank all the volunteers who cleaned the country all over, and I am proud of their enthusiasm and dedication,” Elkaz said.

This year's action was supported by Eco Life Ltd., the Sarajevo Canton Government and the Ministry of Construction, Urban Planning and Environmental Protection of the Una Sana Canton, and this year's special partner of the campaign was the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organizers said.
