The number of tourists in Bosnia's Federation region, which covers more than a half of the country's territory, has increased by 11.7 percent during August, compared to the same month last year, according to the Federation's Statistics Institute.

Of 163,429 registered tourists, 85.7 were foreigners and 14.3 local tourists.

Compared to August 2018, the number of overnight stays in the same month this year increased by 6.3 percent with nearly 360,000 number of nights spent at tourist accommodation establishments. Also, this number has increased by 7.2 percent compared to July this year.

According to the official statistic data, Saudi tourists spent the largest number of days in the Federation, followed by the tourists from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Italy, Poland and Croatia.
