Bosnian air carrier FlyBosnia said they will establish a direct flight Sarajevo and Rome from November 2019.
On this occasion, FlyBosnia will organize a fam trip for tour operators from Italy into Bosnia, which would last for three days, aimed at presenting the beauty and diversity Bosnia offers to all potential tourists and reasons why they should visit the country.
The promotional flight and fam trip will take place on October 17-20. Bosnia's promotional PR in Italy will be Amra Silajdzic-Dzeko, who has been living in Rome with her family for several years, and the Italian Ambassador to BiH Nicola Minasi also supported the idea of establishing the flight, FlyBosnia said.
The plains will fly in the early morning hours every Monday and Thursday, the company said.
The company warned that Sarajevo airports tariffs and fees are not in line with development approaches of other airports in capitals from the region, which is why they are thinking of moving to a different airport in the country.
FlyBosnia currently has two A319 Airbus aeroplanes and they expect to receive two more A319's by April 2019, the company said.
This is the second direct flight with one of Europe's most important capitals after they established a direct flight between Sarajevo and London in September 2019.
