The Sanitary Inspection of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity said on Thursday that it banned a shipment of 960 kilograms of iodised kitchen salt from entering the country from Croatia after it was found the salt does not meet Bosnian quality standards.

The institution said inspectors checked the shipment at the Izacic border crossing and ordered the analysis, which revealed that the salt has a low value of potassium iodate.

Accordingly, the import of the shipment of 960 kg of the salt was prohibited and was ordered to be returned to the sender.
