As part of his first official visit as Bosnia’s head of state, Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic met with James Anderson, who is currently performing the duties of US Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for policy, at the Pentagon in Washington DC on Wednesday.
“Since Bosnia-Herzegovina achieved independence in 1992, the U.S., allies and partners have strengthened their ties with the nation to ensure mutual security and peace in the region,” the US Department of Defence quoted a defence official it did not name.
Bosnia will in 2020 chair the US-Adriatic Charter, a regional association consisting of Albania, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and the US.
Bosnia became a member of the Charter in 2008 when it partnered up with participants in an effort to increase multilateral cooperation on regional security issues.
