Bosnia and Herzegovina occupies a special place in Pope Francis' heart, he said Wednesday speaking to Bosniak Presidency member Sefik Dzaferovic who is taking part in the high-level meeting in Rome titled “Freedom from Violence: Peace, Security and Conflict Prevention in the 2030 Development Agenda.”
Dzaferovic and other participants of this meeting met with Pope Francis in the Vatican, who welcomed the organisation of this event and noted that promotion of peace through dialogue and mutual understanding is of extreme importance.
Dzaferovic thanked for the support Bosnia received from the Vatican over the years, especially for the support provided by Pope Francis himself.
As part of his visit to Rome, the Bosniak Presidency member visited the Vatican and the Vatican Archive where he saw the testament of the last Bosnian Queen Katarina Kosaca.
The meeting was organised by the Nizam Ganjavi International Centre, the Italian Society for International Organisations and the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation.
