The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina purchased four new helicopters in cooperation of the US government, Defence Minister Marina Pendes and US Ambassador in Bosnia Eric nelson confirmed on Friday after they signed a procurement contract.
Speaking at the ceremony, ambassador Nelson said that the Armed Forces are a bright example of what people in Bosnia might achieve if they worked together.
New helicopters will secure a better performance with lower expenses, and will help the Armed Forces to provide vital support to its citizens, he added.
Minister Pendes stressed that the US proved that its support to the Armed Forces and Defence Ministry of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the most comprehensive and most specific on the country's European and Euro-Atlantic path.
