The two leading parties in Kosovo, Vetevendosje (self-determination) and Democratic Alliance of Kosovo (LDK) reached agreement on Friday to form a new government.
The deal was reached by their leaders Albin Kurti and Isa Mustafa, the media in Pristina said.
LDK sources said that all disputed issues were resolved such as the future president when Hashim Thaci’s term in office expires. They also divided the 10 ministries equally. They agreed to give the Ministry for Communities and Return to the Serb List and the Culture Ministry to other minority communities. The LDK will get the internal affairs ministry while Vetevendosje will get the foreign ministry with LDK MP Vlosa Osmani taking the post of parliament speaker.
The talks to form a government have been ongoing since the elections on October 6.
