Sarajevo Canton authorities declare alert phase due to the high air pollution

Sarajevo Canton authorities declared on Thursday the alert phase for all zones on the Canton's territory due to the increasing air pollution during the day.

The alert phase among other measures stipulates that all facilities which produce the heating energy over 50 kW and which use crude fuel must reduce the temperature by at least 3 degrees Celsius. It also foresees uninterrupted traffic flow without any delays on major streets in the city, the ban of huge construction works in the open and closed areas, the ban of traffic for heavy goods vehicles, etc.
