Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Albania, filed charges against Kosovo’s outgoing Premier Ramush Haradinaj for slender and demanded compensation, while Haradinaj said the allegations were unfounded, Kosovo online website reported.
On Wednesday, Rama filed 30-page charge sheet to Pristina’s Basic Court, accusing Haradinaj of publicly blaming him for planning the territory swap in negotiations with Kosovo’s and Serbia’s presidents Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic respectively.
Rama said such slanders undermined his honour, reputation and dignity. He but did not mention what compensation he wanted, but requested Haradinaj’s public denial of such claims.
Haradinaj reacted on his Facebook profile by describing charges as unfounded and brought to avoid political responsibility. He added he would legally respond to the charges.
