One Bosnian national is among the staff of the Diamond Princess, a luxury liner which has been put into quarantine off the Japanese coast due to coronavirus, Bosnia's Foreign Ministry told N1.

The person whose identity has not been unveiled established contact with Bosnian Embassy in Tokyo and will seek consular protection if necessary, the ministry said.

Nearly 4,000 persons including 14 Serbians are on board and all were put into coronavirus quarantine for two weeks. Those who were confirmed to be infected were hospitalised for further treatment.

Nationals of Japan, USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Taiwan are among the infected passengers.
