Bosnian citizen aboard the quarantined Diamond Princess cruiser feels good and he contacts the Bosnian Embassy in Japan daily, Ambassador Sinisa Berjan told Fena news agency on Tuesday.
“He spends most of the day in his cabin, except when he performs a minimum of his tasks on the Cruiser,” the Ambassador said.
Ambassador Berjan noted that “passengers who pass all the health checks will begin disembarking the ship, while those who prove to be sick with the coronavirus will be hospitalised.”
“Ship's crew members will remain quarantined for another 14 days after the disembarking of the last passenger because they were able to move freely and were exposed to the virus while performing their duties. Since most crew are housed in double-bed cabins after the passengers disembark the ship and the ship is disinfected, the crew will be placed in passengers’ cabins – one crew member per cabin,” Berjan added.
According to the official data, only one, younger Bosnian citizen is on the ship and they are a crew member.
All the confirmed coronavirus patients have left the ship and were hospitalised, Fena agency recalled.
The Australia Carnival's Diamond Princess was quarantined for two weeks after she arrived at Yokohama, Japan, and after a Hong Kong patient was diagnosed with the virus on February 3.
