The Vice President of Republika Srpska, the Serb-dominated entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ramiz Salkic said on Thursday that there was a room for more rights and freedom for the Bosniaks in Serbia's Sandzak region, the Beta news agency reported.

Salkic, who visited the Sandzak central town of Novi Pazar and met with the leader of the Party for Democratic Action (SDA) Sandzak Sulejman Ugljanin, said Serbia should offer other nations living on its territory the same rights it requested for Serbs in the region.

“That's the only way to have a balance and make everybody equally satisfied and equally unhappy in this area and this region,” Salkic, who is also a member of the SDA BiH Presidency, said.

Ugljanin said that the so-called “greater Serbian nationalism is the worst evil that happened in the Balkans because it's based on religious chauvinism, national fascism and social racism.”  

Salkic is in Novi Pazar on the occasion of February 21, the Day of Education in Bosnian, organised by the Bosniak National Council (BNV).
