Zoran Tegeltija, Bosnia's prime minister, and prime minister of two semi-autonomous regions, Federation and Republika Srpska, Fadil Novalic and Radovan Viskovic, agreed on Tuesday to introduce a temporary ban entry for the travellers coming from the countries severely affected by the coronavirus

The decision comes a day after the fifth coronavirus infection was confirmed in the country.

Viskovic tasked Security Minister Fahrudin Radoncic to introduce a temporary ban for all foreign nationals travelling from the countries severely affected by coronavirus, which includes Italy, Iran, South Korea and several China's provinces, in order to contain the virus spread.

Earlier on Tuesday, Republika Srpska authorities ordered a temporary shutdown of all schools on its territory for a three week period and banned the public gathering within the same period.

The Federation issued instruction a day before recommending that all public events are either cancelled or postponed, to prevent a potential virus spread. Sarajevo Canton, on the other hand, banned all public gatherings that include 250 or more persons.
