Fifty members of the medical staff at the Public Health Department in the western Serbia town of Cacak are under quarantine after one of their co-workers tested positive for the coronavirus, a local medical official told N1 on Tuesday.

Aleksandar Macan, Director of the Public Health Department in the town of Kraljevo said that his staff had taken over some of the duties of the Cacak department because of the large number of quarantined medical staff there.

He said that the woman from the Cacak Public Health Department who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus was in self-isolation at her home but that the case forced the authorities to quarantine her co-workers.

The hospital in Cacak did not report any new cases over the previous 24 hours.
