21:19 Six new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Bosnia on Friday evening, with three patients in Sarajevo, two in the eastern town Gorazde and one in the northeastern Tesanj, Sarajevo University Clinical Centre general manager Sebija Izetbegovic told N1. This brings the total number of the infected persons in Bosnia to 89, with more than 20 cases reported in one day only. According to Izetbegovic, two patients have been cured.

18:01 Fourteen new infections with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity, bringing the total number of those infected in the whole country to 83. According to health Minister Alen Seranic, of 14 cases eight are men and six women, and 11 patients are linked to the third cluster in the northern city Banja Luka.

16:40 Federation's (FBiH) entity Civil Protection Administration has tightened the measures against the coronavirus spread and banned the movement for the persons aged under 18 and those older than 65 on the whole territory of this part of Bosnia. The Civil Protection authorities said that the interior ministers of its ten cantons will be in charge of implementing this measure, which will be in effect until March 30.

10:40: Five new cases of the new coronavirus were confirmed in Konjic, Bosnia, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 69, said the Federation entity's Public Health Institute on Friday morning.

09:40: N1's Tina Jelin-Dizdar learned on Friday morning that one more COVID-19 case was discovered in the central Bosnian city of Konjic, while tests for Mostar are yet to be published.

Both Konjic and Mostar cases are awaiting official confirmation from the competent authorities later on Friday.

On Thursday, Konjic registered its first four cases of COVID-19. The infection occurred during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of “Igman” arms factory on March 11. The event was attended by the political leadership of Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity and a guest from Serbia who was later reported to be infected with the COVID-19.

The total number of so far officially confirmed cases in Bosnia is 64, with the Konjic case, the number will rise to 65.
