18:20 A patient from the southern city of Mostar tested positive for coronavirus, which brings the total number of those infected in Bosnia to 131.
15:32 Two more persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina were infected with the novel coronavirus, Sarajevo University Clinical Centre confirmed Monday afternoon, which brings the total number to 130. One patient comes from the central town Visoko, and is linked to the so-called Konjic cluster, while the other patient is from Bihac in the west and had close contact with an already confirmed case.
11:10 The Mayor of Bosnia's Brcko District and Crisis Staff Commander Sinisa Milic announced Monday that two new COVID.19 cases were confirmed in the District.
“We urge all citizens to respect all the measures taken by the Crisis Staff and to minimize social contact. Let's protect ourselves and others,” Milic noted.
A total of 14 people were tested in the Brcko District, and two were positive for the coronavirus.
The positive patients are spouses.
According to Milic, both have been in isolation since March 18.
With these two cases, the total number of infected patients with the new coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina is now 128.
7: 50 One more patient with COVID-19 was discovered late Sunday evening in the central Bosnian town of Gorazde, raising the total number of cases to 126.
The newly discovered case brings the total number of patients in this town to four, officials said.
8:00 Three persons were found to be walking the streets of Sarajevo without a permit, meaning they violated the prohibition of movement between 6 pm and 5 am, Police said adding that they were issued misdemeanour warrants and 500 marks (€250) fines each. the said individuals were also removed from public areas into their homes.
According to the Sarajevo Canton's Interior Ministry, it was noticeable that the prohibition of movement was observed by a vast majority of Canton's residents.
The police also drove down Sarajevo streets warning the residents to stay at their homes and that the curfew has been introduced as a measure to fight the spread of the new coronavirus.
