The Bosnian government has decided Tuesday to temporarily close all airports for passenger travel, prime minister Zoran Tegeltija said adding that they close on March 30.

“Airports will be closed to passenger traffic from March 30. The reason they will close on that date is that we're waiting for the equipment that will help Bosnia in the fight against the coronavirus,” Tegeltija said. After that date, he added the airports will remain open only to cargo traffic.

He said the Council of Ministers (as the government is formally called) also amended the decision on the conditions for entry of foreigners. According to this amendment, all foreigners are barred from entering the country unless they are diplomats or medical staff os some other staff that will work in Bosnia on mitigating the coronavirus pandemic.

2020 State budget

Bosnia's government also adopted the state 2020 budget with seven votes in favour and seven against it, after which it was submitted to the Presidency for further procedure.

According to the prime minister, he was one of the seven who voted against it and that he did it because the budget was drafted in normal conditions when the pandemic did not exist.
