A 60-year-old woman died in the southern town of Nis, becoming the fourth death case after infected with COVID-19 virus in Serbia, Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar confirmed to the state RTS TV on Wednesday.
Loncar said the woman was “uncontrolled diabetic” and had been on a respirator since March 21.
The first death case in Serbia was reported on March 6.
To date, there are 303 confirmed patients infected with COVID-19 virus, including two babies, one 28-day-old, while 15 were reported cured, including a young woman, a diabetic.
The average age is reported to be 50 years, and the two-thirds are men. But, doctors warn that they cannot have precise statistics on a daily basis.
