Slovenia confirmed 70 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, which brings the total to 632. The tally includes eight deaths, the Ljubljana government tweeted on Friday.
On Thursday, 1,075 tests were done, 70 were positive, and two infected persons died. Ninety people have been hospitalised.
Kindergartens will stay closed for at least three more weeks, the government's coronavirus crisis spokesman, Jelko Kacin, told a press conference.
He said the government would discuss today a legislative package worth €2 billion to help the economy and the population during this crisis, at least until May 1.
Slovenia is considering other such legislative packages in case the crisis and the epidemic, as well as possible recession, were to last longer.
