In the past two days, Slovenia has conducted 1,288 new tests for COVID-19 and identified 39 new cases of the disease while the total number of infected persons has grown to 841, the government said on Wednesday.

This is the situation by midnight Tuesday and currently 119 people are in hospital with the virus, 31 are in intensive care and are in a critical condition.

Fifteen people have died as a result of coronavirus, authorities reported on Tuesday after two elderly people died on Monday and another two on Tuesday after being treated in intensive care wards.
