COVID-19 UPDATES: More than 800 infected, more than 30 dead, nearly 80 recovered

20:58 According to the latest data available, little more than 800 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Bosnia and Herzegovina until now while more than 30 people died due to COVID-19 and nearly 80 recovered.

12:00 Bosnia's Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) entity confirmed 23 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours, director of the FBiH's Public Health Institute Davor Pehar said.“We currently have 404 active patients (in the FBiH).

Fifty-five percent of them are women and 45 are men. Over the past 24 hours, 267 persons were tested, 23 of whom tested positive for coronavirus,” Pehar said. “When it comes to the health condition of our patients, 59 patients have been hospitalised, of which five have serious conditions and they were connected to ventilators. So far, we've had 21 confirmed deaths (caused by Covid-19).”

According to the state Civil Affairs Ministry's data by 12 pm, there are a total of 802 confirmed cases in Bosnia, 7,497 have been tested so far and 34 patients had died as a result of the coronavirus.

10:30 Bosnia's Brcko District reported its first fatality caused by the virus, making it the 34th death in total, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A man, born in 1965, passed away on Tuesday night after being hospitalised for some time at a special ward of the Brcko Hospital intended for patients with COVID-19. The patient came from the Heart Centre specialist hospital from Tuzla and was connected to a respirator, Brcko authorities said.

At present, seven coronavirus patients, two with severe and five with moderate symptoms are receiving treatment at the Brcko District Hospital, they said.

8:40 Health Minister of Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity Alen Seranic said that their health authorities confirmes 2 positive samples, out of 179 that were tested over the past 24 hours.

So far, Bosnia recorded over 790 cases, 33 deaths and 77 instances when patients recovered from the new coronavirus.
