Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity confirmed 27 new cases of Covid-19, over the past 24 hours, FBiH Civil Protection headquarters member Goran Cerkez said, warning that they might impose stricter measures if irresponsible citizens continue disobeying recommendation of social distancing and reduced movement.
“Of the 538 samples that were tested, 27 were positive,” Cerkez said, adding that “the FBiH has seven patients connected to ventilators and 27 patients who recovered. Over the next few days, we expect to have 10 people who recovered from Covid-19.”
He expressed his concern over the loosening and non-compliance with the measures they had taken to curb the pandemic in this canton.
“We are seriously considering banning or reducing all movement over the weekend because the present situation is unsustainable.
Because of these irresponsible individuals who allow themselves to be in groups, to drink coffee and walk in groups, and to violate a number of orders, we'll find ourselves in a situation where we'll all have to stay home and won't be able to take care of our basic needs,” Cerkez said.
He appealed to all the citizens to obey the orders and measures they imposed, for their own good. The situation often seems stable due to our stagnating numbers, but it is, in fact, very serious and can worsen in a very short period of time,” Cherkez concluded.
