COVID-19 UPDATES: Bosnia has 1,000 cases, death toll at 39

17:34 Another COVID-19 patient in Bosnia passed away on Sunday, the head of the Dr. Irfan Ljubijankic hospital in Bihac, Hajrudin Havic, confirmed to N1.

15:46 The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bosnia has reached 1,000, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said.

Meanwhile, one more COVID-19 patient died in the town of Livno, bringing the death toll across the country to 38. Two more people also tested positive in the Sarajevo Canton in the past 24 hours.  

13:40 A number of new coronavirus cases were reported across the country since Sunday morning and now the total of people who tested positive since the virus emerged in Bosnia in March is nearly one thousand while 37 have died due to COVID-19.

The Federation (FBiH), one of the two semi-autonomous regions in the country, has registered 36 new coronavirus cases throughout the past 24 hours, said advisor in the FBiH Health Ministry, Zlatan Persic.  

11:19 Another 29 people tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia’s Serb-majority region of Republika Srpska (RS), while authorities in the Western-Herzegovina Canton confirmed six new cases.

More than 950 people have tested positive across the country since the virus arrived in early March and 37 passed away due to COVID-19.
