Enes Dedic, whose life was in danger after returning from his mother's funeral in Bosnia, survived after receiving a special and rare treatment called ECMO which helped him beat Covid-19, AZFamily reports.
After going to the ER and being connnected to a ventilator, Dedic's condition worsened so the doctors at the John C. Lincoln hospital decided to connect hm to the Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) which temporarily draws blood from the body to allow artificial oxygenation of the red blood cells and removal of carbon dioxide.
Dedic was hooked to the machine for 10 days, doctors say, and on the 11th day he woke up.
Enes Dedic's full story can ve seen in the AZFamily's video.
