COVID-19 UPDATES: With three new cases in Sarajevo Canton, tally rises to 1,285

16:00 Over the past 24 hours, 128 people were tested in Sarajevo Canton, three of which were positive, Aida Pilav, epidemiologist and head of the Sarajevo Canton Crisis Staff said on Sunday afternoon.

According to her, 16 patients have been hospitalized at Podhrastovi Clinic and two of them were connected to ventilators.
“The number of health care workers infected with the virus is eight and they are all stable,” Pilav said.

15:00 Mostar hospital has confirmed that the man who died today at their care was a doctor who worked at the Mostar Health Care Centre. The doctor who was 57 was said to be off work since March 18.

According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, the data from 12 o'clock said 1,285 cases have been confirmed so far in the country, 338 have recovered and 49 have died from coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so far.

12:45 Over the past 24 hours, health authorities from both Bosnian entities have reported 13 more positive tests for Covid-19 and 2 deaths caused by the deadly virus.

Health authorities in Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity said they tested 362 persons of whom five came back positive. These are two male and four female patients.

When it comes to the Bosniak-Croat Federation (FBiH) entity, the health authorities said they tested 603 samples, seven of which were positive.

The youngest patient in this entity is a baby from the Zenica-Doboj Canton who had no symptoms but was admitted to hospital for observation.

Two patients died over the past 24 hours, one each in the RS and FBiH. Both patients were in their senior age and with chronic diseases.
The number of fatalities in the country now stands at 49.
