His Eminence the Metropolitan Bishop of Dabar-Bosna served the Easter Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Sarajevo where he told the faithful never to lose faith in God and to believe in the Lord in this difficult time of the pandemic.

The Bishop said the illness that affected the whole world was the result of daily sins and called on believers to repent.

According to him, one should never lose hope in Christ, who has conquered, not only sickness but also death and sin.

“We prayed today for all of them, for the whole world, for the Lord to do his mercy for the human race and to save us all and protect us from the misery we have fallen into because of the coronavirus,” said Bishop Chrysostom in his speech.

The Bishop emphasized that this year's Lent was a spiritual and biological struggle, fear and uncertainty, but that today there is hope in the Lord, who has been resurrected and thus gave hope that all temptations and suffering will be overcome.

He and wish the faithful happy and blessed holiday with the traditional greeting “Christ is risen!”
