Bosnian Foreign Trade Minister Stasa Kosarac said the European Commission granted Bosnia €1,300,000 to support protection measures against African swine fever.
The Minister said these are grant funds for 2020 and the contract will be signed by the European Commission's General Directorate for Health and Food Safety and Bosnia's Veterinary Office.
”After the African swine fever monitoring group made a decision to help countries with African swine fever and potentially vulnerable countries, the Bosnia's Veterinary Office sent a monitoring request for this disease in the country. The grant funds have been approved, and the contract will be signed soon,” Kosarac said.
He added that Bosnia did not record a single case of the disease so far.
