Bosnia has recorded 24 new cases of infection with the novel coronavirus over the last 24 hours, with all new patients reported in Republika Srpska (RS), while Federation (FBiH) confirmed no new cases of infection, the healthcare authorities of both semi-autonomous regions said on Monday in their daily press conferences.
According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, Bosnia and Herzegovina has so far recorded 2,141 patients and its death toll stands at 113. 1,114 patients have recovered to date.
The total of 23,309 lab tests has been performed in the FBiH, 382 in the last 24 hours.
This part of Bosnia has so far confirmed 993 Covid-19 patients, of whom 637 recovered and 35 died.
As for RS, its authorities have performed 735 in the last 24 hours with 24 positive outcomes, including a doctor at the University Clinical Centre of Banja Luka, the region's administrative centre.
Alen Seranic, the RS Health Minister, said the number of positive patients is under control and still under 5% in relation to the number of those tested.
So far, the region has reported 1,129 Covid-19 patients, 462 have recovered and 74 died.
Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the country's north, has no active patients at the moment. Of 19 reported cases, 16 have recovered and three died.
