Croatia has six new Covid-19 cases, three more fatalities

Six more people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Croatia in the last 24 hours, which puts the total number of infections at 2,213, and three more patients have died, the national civil protection authority said on Wednesday.

“A total of 48,737 tests have been conducted, including 1,257 in the last 24 hours. The percentage of persons who have tested positive is 4.54%,” Health Minister Vili Beros told a news conference.

The three latest fatalities are a man born in 1937 who died in Zagreb's Hospital for Infectious Diseases, a woman from Koprivnica, born in 1936, and a woman from Split, born in 1927.

Nine patients are on ventilators and 150 patients are hospitalised, nine fewer than on Tuesday. 702 people have been released from hospitals after recovering from the disease, which is nine people more than on Tuesday. The number of people who have recovered at home stands at 1,132, 17 more than on Tuesday.

A total of 1,834 patients have recovered from the infection so far, 26 more than on Tuesday.
