No new cases of coronavirus infection in Croatia for third day in a row

There were no new cases of the coronavirus infection in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the National Civil Protection Authority said on Wednesday.

A total of 2,244 cases of the coronavirus infection have been confirmed, and there have been no new patients for three days in a row.

Thirty-eight patients are being treated in hospitals, six of whom are on ventilators.

In the last 24 hours, one more person recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,047.

A total of 64,266 tests have been conducted, of which 584 in the last 24 hours.

The total number of deaths remains 101.

The National Civil Protection Authority decided to lift the ban of public gatherings of more than 40 people, so as of today the number of people who can attend public events and gatherings will be decided according to recommendations and guidelines by the Croatian Public Health Institute (HZJZ).

Sports competitions will take place without spectators, from May 30 in the open and from June 13 indoors.

As of Friday, May 29, the restriction under which only family members and a representative of the religious community can attend a funeral will be lifted.

Also, as of May 29, wedding and life partnership ceremonies can be attended by people other than family members and witnesses, and the ban on wedding ceremonies will be lifted.
