Bosnian health authorities reported 28 new Covid-19 cases and two virus-related fatalities over the past 24 hours. Most cases are from the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) entity's Tesanj cluster (18) and one from Sarajevo, while the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity recorded nine new cases.
After testing 479 samples, the RS health authorities confirmed nine new cases of Covid-19 – six men and three women.
They also reported two fatalities related to Covid-19. These were a middle-aged man and woman who suffered from chronic diseases.
The FBiH authorities said they tested 551 samples of which 19 were positive. Tesanj is Bosnia's latest coronavirus hotspot and since May 21 when the first case was discovered, the number of infected people has climbed to 28.
According to Bosnia's Civil Affairs Ministry, the country now has 2,462 confirmed cases, of which 1781 recovered and 153 had died.
