Bosnia's Covid-19 tally rises by 66 more cases, no fatalities

Bosnia's health authorities reported 66 new Covid-19 cases, of which 30 are from the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity and 36 from the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) entity, with neither entity reporting fatalities over the past 24 hours.

Of the 30 RS cases, 14 are male and 16 female patients. The entity health authorities said that most infections happened through local transmission and family contacts. This entity tested 33,594 persons for Covid-19 in total and 1,241 have recovered from the disease so far.

The FBIH entity health authorities said they tested a total of 47,267 samples since the beginning of the outbreak in the country, of which 1,519 were positive and 992 patients have recovered thus far.

Entity authorities added that there are 481 currently active cases in this entity.

Bosnia now has 3,339 confirmed cases and 169 fatalities.
