Bosnia's coronavirus total surpasses 6,000

Bosnia has confirmed another 218 infections with the novel coronavirus, 110 in the Federation (FBiH) and 105 in Republika Srpska (RS) and three in Brcko District, the healthcare authorities in both regions and the district confirmed on Thursday. The country also recorded six deaths, three in each region, which brings Bosnia's coronavirus death toll to 214.

According to official daily statistics by the Civil Affairs Ministry, Bosnia's coronavirus total now stands at 6,086. The total of 2,815 Covid-19 patients has recovered to date.

The FBiH healthcare authorities have performed 1,258 lab tests over the last 24 hours (64,495 in total) with 110 positive outcomes. The region has so far confirmed 3,124 Covid-19 patients with 1,327 of those who have recovered to date and 72 fatalities caused by the virus.

As for RS, its healthcare institutions have performed 602 lab tests since the last update (40,395 in total), with 105 that turned out positive. To this day, RS has recorded 2,918 coronavirus cases with 1,468 patients who have recovered and 137 deaths.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north, has reported 44 Covid-19 patients to date of which 20 have recovered and five deaths.
