In the last 24 hours, out of 1,322 tests performed for COVID-19 in Croatia, 140 have returned positive, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,088, the country's coronavirus crisis response team stated on Saturday.
Currently, there are 124 patients being treated in hospitals due to COVID-19, and three of them are on ventilators.
Since 25 February, when Croatia reported its first positive case, 3,672 people have been diagnosed with this infection.
In the last 24 hours, one more person has died as a result of complications caused by this infection, bringing the total death toll to 118.
As many as 2,466 infected persons have recovered, while 4,756 are now in self-isolation.
Face masks required in hospitals, shops and on public transport
As of Monday, 13 July, wearing protective masks is mandatory for all medical staff, persons visiting their relatives in hospitals, workers in the hospitality industry, people using public transport and in shops.
The measure was adopted by the national COVID-19 crisis response team on Friday and will be in place during the COVID-19 epidemic.
