Another 90 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, health authorities in Bosnia’s two semi-autonomous regions reported on Monday, and according to data by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, a total of 6,981 people have been infected in the country so far.
Health authorities in the Republika Srpska (RS) region said that, of the 110 people tested since Sunday, 19 were positive for the virus while one person passed away due to COVID-19.
As for the other semi-autonomous entity, the Federation (FBiH), 421 people were tested and the results came back positive for 71 of them. Three people passed away due to the disease in the entity.
In the capital, Sarajevo, 32 new infections were reported.
Bosnia’s COVID-19 death toll is now 226, while 3,179 people have recovered.
