US President Donald Trump has extended the sanctions against those who “who pose a significant risk of actively obstructing the 1995 General Framework Agreement for Peace,” which includes the Serb member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik.

Trump extended the so-called “national emergency” regarding Western Balkan countries, which is part of an Executive Order stemming from 2001, during the administration of former US President George W. Bush.

With this, the US President has also extended the sanctions of all those blacklisted in the Western Balkans. Among them are Bosnian Serb war criminals and former top officials Radovan Karadzic and his daughter, Momcilo Krajisnik, Biljana Plavsic, former Bosnian Interior Minister Bakir Alispahic, former Bosnian Defence Minister Hasan Cengic, the leader of the Serbian Radical Party, Vojislav Seselj and others.
