Bosnia breaks its record again with 363 new coronavirus cases in a day

A record-breaking 363 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Bosnia and Herzegovina within 24 hours on Wednesday while eight people passed away due to COVID-19.

Health authorities in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region reported 227 confirmed cases of the 994 samples tested, as well as five deaths.

The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), tested 675 people and the results for 136 of them came back positive.

The 24-hour results of the testing in Bosnia’s Brcko District, which belongs to neither of the two entities, was not yet reported.

A total of 1,109 people have been infected with the virus since it came to Bosnia and 314 have died due to it while 5,423 have recovered.
